How would I import data into Qlikview?

• Brightidea will provide the QlikView template and assist with its setup.  Loading Brightidea data into the locally installed QlikView template is a simple 3-step process:

• Downloading one or more reports in Brightidea (Excel format)
• Drop the report(s) into a secure location for Qlikview to read.
• Reload template in QlikView and access latest charts – done!

What Brightidea reports are available for the Qlikview integration?

• Any report within Enterprise, Switchboard, or Pipeline can be integrated with Qlikview.

Is QlikView available on demand/as SaaS solution?

• QlikView is a stationary solution. The data dropped into QlikView will be stored locally your client’s C:\ drive.

Can Brightidea data be updated automatically in QlikView?

• The Brightidea administrator will need drop the most current Brightidea reports into QlikView. This is an easy, fast 3-step process.

How does the Brightidea template in QlikView work?

• It is divided into seven groups of KPIs (key performance indicators):
• WebStorms
• Ideas
• Members
• User Country (not available in version 1 of the template)
• Search (only on WebStorm level)
• Switchboard
• Pipeline
• Each group provides different charts and tables for the imported data.

What are the benefits of a local installation?

• Many companies perceive locally stored data as more secure versus when they are stored in the cloud.  Once data are dropped into QlikView, actions can be performed quicker than if data are stored in the cloud.

Do I have to create a new template in QlikView?

• No, Brightidea provides the template.

Do I have to edit the data reports before moving them into QlikView?

• No, the Brightidea reports are already aligned with the QlikView template.

Can the available reports be customized by clients?

• In the Innovation Suite, the ready-to-download reports cannot be customized.  Dropped into QlikView, the downloaded data can be sliced and diced without limits.

Any special security settings required?

• Nope, since this is not a cloud-based solution.
