Differences Between Enterprise and Initiative Blogs

Enterprise blog

  • Enterprise blogs are located across the Brightidea system, which means users who have access to your Enterprise- which is typically everyone- have access to this blog.  Enterprise blogs are posts that are tied to Initiative blogs, but are shown on the Enterprise level.
  • Each Enterprise blog post must select a Blog Topic before posting.  Contact your Brightidea Representative to place the Blog Topic widget.

    • After a Blog Topic is selected, a blog post can be entered on the Enterprise level.
      • Note: Initiative blogs do not require a Blog Topic, only Enterprise.

  • If an Enterprise blog is posted on an Initiative, users who log into either Enterprise or the Initiative can access and view the blog.
  • The Enterprise blog list (https://_____.brightidea.com/ct/c_blog_list.bix?a=OD____) shows all blog posts for Enterprise.
  • Both Initiative and Enterprise blog posts trigger new blog post alerts via email to users

Initiative blog

  • Initiative blogs exist only within that specific Initiative.  Therefore, users who have access to this Initiative via group/domain restriction can read and review.
  • The Initiative blog list (https://_____brightidea.com/ct/ct_blog_list.bix?c=____) shows all blog posts for Initiatives.
  • To access the settings for Initiative blogs, select an Initiative and navigate to Site Setup > Site > Blog:
