Enabling the User Availability Flag
Admins can enable the User Availability Flag option under Site Setup > Ideas > Team Building.
- Note: If this setting is not available, please contact a Brightidea Support member to enable it for you.
Once this feature has been enabled, the User Availability Widget can be added to the Initiative Homepage. End users can then mark themselves as available to participate in projects.
After a User has marked themselves as Available, they will appear when users conduct a search using Find Teammates. Users that leave themselves as Unavailable will not appear in this search.
Find Teammates
The Idea Submitter and/or a member of the Team that submitted the Idea can use the Find Teammates feature to recruit users within Brightidea who have the expertise required to assist with developing/implementing the Submission.
This setting can be enabled under Site Setup > Ideas > Team Building.
Once the option is enabled, navigate to the View Idea page to see the Find Teammates button within the left-hand Team column.
Selecting the Find Teammates button will produce a screen displaying the users that will best match the Submission. Brightidea will recommend users based on matching qualifications- like expertise and the user's activity, amongst others- to rank them higher on the Find Teammates screen. All users will show on this screen, even if they have a 0% match.
Once a potential Teammate is determined, these Users can be contacted by viewing their profile and/or contacting them directly with a private message.
