In the past two weeks, we have made several enhancements. Please see below for a list of the most important ones. Note that most of these will not take effect until Wednesday, April 4^th, 2012, 8:30PM EST.

We have thoroughly tested these new enhancements and fixes to ensure high quality before allowing them into production. In case you notice any disruptions, please let us know and we will take fast, appropriate action. Thank you!

Enterprise

• BETA: Added a new option for “Stay logged in” to allow users to remain logged in across browser sessions, even when the browser is closed
  • Enabled on Enterprise level, available for both Enterprise and WebStorm
  • When the user enables “Stay logged in,” a persistent session will be created lasting two weeks. Every time the user logs in, this two-week session will be updated. After two weeks, the session will be deleted and the user must enter credentials again
  • To ensure security and protect sensitive information, a user will be asked to enter credentials again when accessing the Enterprise/WebStorm edit profile page or attempt to perform any admin functions (e.g. add widgets)
  • Attempting to access the same session from a different browser will automatically delete the persistent session
  

• Added a date range selector to narrow parameters for User Activity and Ideas Reports
  • Available on both Enterprise and WebStorm levels
  • Can select by All (entire history) or a specific date range
  • Read information about the parameters for User Activity and Ideas reports here

• Improved performance in several areas
  • User search performance
  • SOLR search performance
  • Bug in SOLR causing system outage
  • Fixed system login in Internet Explorer 8

WebStorm

• BETA: Introduced a number of new features and enhancements for idea tags
• Autosuggest for tags in posting ideas
• Suggests existing tags based on what user is typing to prevent duplication and encourage tag use
• Allows for multi-word tags and comma separation

• New features and enhancements for tag following:
• If user creates a new tag or selects an existing tag, it is automatically added to the list of tags they follow
• Users receive email notifications for tags that they follow

• Made a number of fixes and enhancements to the Dashboard 2.0 in the following areas:
  • Category Distribution Chart:
    • Expanded the width of the chart
    • Added new styling for Category Distribution chart label lines
    • Labels now do not overlap or appear cut off
    • All Category labels, including for percentages under 3% and categories with 0 ideas
    • Category labels past 30 characters will be truncated with an ellipsis (…)
    

• Status Distribution Chart:
  • Moved funnel graphic to the right to allow more space for labels
  • Idea percentages (of whole) included in hover over
  • Labels under 3% are not shown, though information is still available on hover over
  • Status labels past 18 characters will be truncated with an ellipsis (…)
  

• Average Days Per Status:
  • Expanded the width of the chart
  

• Moving an idea to a different WebStorm or changing its status now sends an email notification from the contact email designated in Enterprise setup
• Fixed an issue in which email newsletters were not being sent

Switchboard

• BETA: Added Rich Text Editor for Proposal fields
  
  • Allows for text formatting
  

• Fixed an issue in which searching for users would yield no results for Evaluators and Collection Admins in Switchboard setup
