Brightidea Release Notes – April 18th 2012

In the past two weeks, we have made several enhancements. Please see below for a list of the most important ones. Note that these will take effect on Wednesday, April 18th, 2012, 8:30PM EST.

We have thoroughly tested these new enhancements and fixes to ensure high quality before allowing them into production. In case you notice any disruptions, please let us know and we will take fast, appropriate action. Thank you!

Enterprise

  • Fixed an issue with auto-suggest search area for Users --> Manage section in Enterprise setup
  • Made a fix to accommodate users to reset their password even if they disabled their emails in their Brightidea profile
  • Fixed error when logging in via Google

WebStorm

  • An email notification is now sent when new tags are added to an idea
    •  If an idea is edited and saved without any changes, no email notification will be sent.

    • An idea is posted with multiple subscribed tags
    • Multiple subscribed tags are added to an existing idea

WebStorm Admin

  • Sorting by idea code now follows proper numeric order (e.g. D199 is not followed by D1000)
  • Sorting by additional idea questions is provided in WebStorm Admin grid
  • Fixed an issue in which assigning proposals to multiple ideas would be assigned to the system administrator

  • Fixed an issue in which canceling a scorecard action item would affect the scores of other action items when multiple action items are sent at the same time
  • Fixed several issues with Proposals rich text editor (BETA):
    • Image upload security enhancements
    • Additional text styles
    • Fixes for proposal fields not wrapping properly during editing
    • Improved cross-browser compatibility
