In the past three weeks we have made several enhancements and bug fixes. These changes will take effect on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013, at 8:30PM EST.

Please note that some of these features are beta options that must be turned on by your Brightidea representative. We have thoroughly tested these new enhancements and fixes to ensure high quality before allowing them into production. If you notice any disruptions, please let us know and we will take fast, appropriate action. Thank you!

Updates to WebStorm Admin Idea Merge

New sub-options have been added to the WebStorm Admin 'Idea Merge' option. These option may be enabled in:

• WebStorm Admin --> Setup --> General --> Options --> Idea Merge
• Add child idea votes / chips to master idea: 
• After merging, votes / chips from child ideas will be added to the master idea
• Keep idea votes / chips separate: 
• After merging, votes / chips for both master and child ideas will remain unchanged
• Added points will respect vote multiplier settings for the master idea.

Additional Enhancements

The following additional fixes and enhancements have been made throughout the Brightidea platform. For your convenience, they have been categorized by product:

• Fixed issues with broken links in password reset and user self-registration emails
• User group import has been updated to .xls and now works correctly with group names containing foreign characters
• Comments and ideas from private WebStorms now appear properly in My Comments and My Ideas list widgets
• Enterprise search no longer displays results from domain-restricted WebStorms
• Community-level All Stats widget now displays correct idea and vote counts
• Community-level leaderboard widget now displays correct user points
• Action Item Alerts (BETA) are now deleted when:
• The associated action item is deleted from Sent Action Items
• The proposal owner, evaluator or To Do assignee is changed
• The associated proposal or batch is deleted
• The private message popup now appears correctly in the middle of the page
• Rich text editor or Enterprise system email and newsletters now work correctly in IE
• Usernames containing apostrophes (') now appear correctly in user search
• Formatting improvements for 'Top Contributors' widget

• Security updates for password resetting
• Usernames containing apostrophes (') can now be added to idea teams
• Fixed an issue in which bulleted lists would appear incorrectly after being edited
• Fixed issue with importing ideas and having it result in all lower-case letters
• Once a tag is added, search results appear correctly when adding new tags with similar spelling
• Idea reports now correctly display dates for WebStorms using custom date formatting
• Fixed an issue in which duplicate tags may be added to an idea
• Fixed an issue with an error when posting comments
• Images in image widget(s) are now ported over when copying a WebStorm
• Images in image widget(s) now appear correctly when the widget is added to other pages in a WebStorm
• Idea Submission form formatting improvements for Internet Explorer browsers

• Links in Rules Engine (BETA) email notifications now respect custom friendly URLs
• Fixed minor UI issues for Rules Engine (BETA) in IE
• Column filters for ideas grid now sorts across all ideas, not only those listed in the page
• A number of UI enhancements have been made to popups in WSA Collections

• Page navigation toolbar has been added to the bottom of the 'My Action Items' / 'Sent Action Items' page(s)
• Fixed an issue in which evaluator comments in a scorecard would not appear until page refresh
• Fixed an issue in which Batch Admins could view batches they were not an admin for
• End users who are proposal owners may now change the status of their proposal
• Fixed an issue with scorecard reports downloading incorrectly
• Fixed an issue with end users not able to access relative attachments in scorecards
• Proposals may now be sorted by code in 'My Proposals' and 'All Proposals' grids
• Updated 'Smart Reminder' popup notification with correct number of action items completed
• Column filters for proposals grid now sorts across all proposals, not only those listed in the page

• Fixed an issue in which apostrophes in file names would break the project documents page
• Fixed an issue with accessing projects via search
