Brightidea's Fall 2014 incorporates significant new platform capabilities and provides the foundation for future capabilities. Our new platform is built upon a new “single page app” architecture that provides significant performance improvements, including real-time updates of data and elimination of page refreshes. This upgrade also includes a completely new Pipeline capability for managing your custom end-to-end innovation workflow.
- Along with this new highly configurable Pipeline is a new set of idea evaluation tools, including Review, Single Scale, Enhanced Scorecard, Development, Stack Rank, and Pairwise.

- Starting today, the updates and improvements to our Fall 2014 release will also be covered in Product Release Notes, they include (this week):
- Updated the Pipeline List View to include helpful Import and Submit buttons when there are no ideas in the Pipeline.
- Updated Steps View so that when the Step due date has passed, the Step shows a red exclamation point icon and message about the action item due dates.
- For the Crowdfunding Stats Widget in View Idea 2.0, added a "View backers" link to show the backers of the idea.
- For Crowdfunding, enhanced pledge amounts to include decimal places, and changed labels to include "Man Months".
- Upgraded the Copy Existing Pipeline function to include the copy of all rules and Step settings.
- In the Pipeline List View, updated the idea import template to include better Excel column labels. Changed the menu option to "Import Ideas from Excel".
- From a Review Action Item page, Reviewers can now edit the Idea Title and Description.
- Added a Contact Name field in Enterprise and WebStorm Setup for use in messages.
- Enhanced Enterprise search to include user activity updates.
- Added the ability for email addresses for accounts to include a "+" character.
- Fixed an issue in the "Large WebStorm List" Widget where the widget wouldn't allow certain types of reordering on very large WebStorm lists.
- Consolidated the "Turn off All emails" option and the "Enable System Email Messages" option in Setup.
- Enhanced WebStorm search to include user activity updates.
- Added the ability for email addresses for accounts to include a "+" character.
- Consolidated the "Turn off All emails" option and the "Enable System Email Messages" option in WebStorm Setup (as well).
- Fixed an issue where certain types of visits from users in SSO systems were not always counted properly in the Community Stats Widget.
- Fixed an issue with View Idea 2.0 where Additional Info questions would sometimes not be properly saved if the page was immediately refreshed.
- Improved the link formatting for links to old ideas when copying ideas from one WebStorm to another.
