Phase Widget
- The 'Phase Widget' will allow IPM's / administrators to visually articulate which 'Phase' a Challenge/Site is in.
- This will help create a sense of awareness (& urgency) for users to further participate before something 'ends'.

- Once added to the Challenge/Site page, the Administrator can configure dates when certain phases will occur for the Challenge:

- Based on the date accessed, the phase widget will automatically tell the user when a phase will begin, or if its completed
- Dates cannot overlap in any of the configured 'phases'
- When a phase change occurs, challenge subscribers will be sent the email template called 'Site Phase Change Alert to Follower'.
- The administrator can configure the dates, add new phases, or delete phases.
- If the administrator changes the end or start date of any of the phases, it will automatically update the phase before or after it:
- For example, if the admin puts the 'Execution' phase to start on January 11th, rather than the 10, it will also update the end date for the 'Planning' phase to end on January 11th.
- The dates & descriptions of the phases will be seen on hover:

Notes
- The 'Phase Widget' can be modified with CSS
- It can only be added on the Challenge/Site level.
- This will span the entire container its in on the Site page.
If all phases are visible on the screen in the widget, can the "left arrow" or "right arrow" be removed?
Hi John,
At this time, the arrows will appear regardless of the number of phases in the widget.
Thank you,

Dear Ron,
at what time and time zone does the switch from one phase to the next happen?
I thought I was told it is 12am (noon) EST. Our system time zone is set to GMT and it seems to happen at 0am (midnight) GMT+1 (where I am located). Does the system take the local time zone of the user into account? Would that mean the switch of the phases happens different of different users depending where they are (Asia, Europe, America)?
Hi Daniel -
It looks like the task to change the phases gets run daily 5:00 AM Eastern time. So it doesn't take into account the user’s timezone. I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Best,
Anthony
