'Invite a Friend' to Brightidea


Users can invite external contacts to certain Initiatives with the help of Brightidea's 'Invite a Friend' functionality.

  • This feature can be enabled under Site Setup > Access > Security
  • Admins must first select Everyone to register.
  • Once selected, the Users can invite new users option can be enabled.

Admins can then add the "Invite a Friend" widget to the Homepage or any Extra page in their Initiative.

Important Notes:

  • Domain restrictions are respected. Users will receive an update if they try to invite someone outside of their domain restriction.
  • The email template is under System Setup or Site Setup > Site > System Email Messages > Invitation Request
  • The User Activity report will include how many invitations each user has sent.
  • 'Invite a Friend' registrations are not reflected in the Registration Invites log. Only standard registration invites sent from the setup screen will be included in that log.

    If a user invites someone that has already 'checked in' .. do the points get awarded when they next check in or because they are already in, nothing is awarded?

    Damian,

    If the user is already registered, they can't be invited using the functionality described here. This means no further points will be allocated.
