Password Reset


In Brightidea, Admins can easily assist a user with resetting their password.

  • Navigate to System or Site Setup > Users > Manage  
    • Search for a user and select their name
    • Select Reset Password to trigger a password reset email to the address in the user's profile.

Resetting Password as the End User

Alternatively, the end users can always reset their own password by selecting Forgot password? on the Brightidea login screen:

 

  • This will trigger a password reset email to the specified email address

 

  • After a password has been successfully changed, the user will be logged in automatically.

    The article doesnt include any info on how to CREATE a password, only reset.. Title might be slightly misleading.

    Thank you for your feedback! We clarified the verbiage under Option 1 to emphasize that users will need to create a new password when their account is created.
