Product Release Notes - August 14th, 2024


Our latest product release took effect Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. This post may be different from the release notes received via email.

General bug fixes and enhancements

  • Resolved the issue where emails were not sent to appropriate users upon status changes in View Idea 3 due to an incorrect endpoint, ensuring that email notifications are now triggered correctly.
  • Implemented error messaging for the rules engine, which prevents users from saving email sending rules without selecting a recipient, enhancing clarity and usability.
  • Updated error warning display in the Rules Engine, the alert appears on the correct email description field.
  • Retained generated images and search prompts in the image modal when switching tabs, ensuring users have easy access to their prior work until the modal is closed.
  • Fixed an issue where only the last user was selected when trying to send direct messages to users tagged in comments, ensuring all selected users are correctly included for messaging.
  • Extended emoji support to include Memo review text input, View Idea title, and Steps View title, enhancing user expression across various features.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented users from uploading files when editing the Business Impact on the system.
  • Corrected the 'Delete' option to appear in standard red text for tiles when accessed from the user home page.
  • Adjusted the hover state for the Category Widget in View Idea 3 to include a brief pause before activation and to ensure it clears when not hovering, resolving the issue of obscuring underlying content.
  • Fixed a date picker issue in the Setup Wizard Scheduler when creating a timeboxed challenge (affecting some client systems).
  • Corrected the overall score calculation on scorecards to ensure it updates accurately when action items are deleted, resolving an issue where the score did not reflect the remaining evaluations (affected some client systems).
  • Resolved the regression issue on View Idea where clicking on an expertise tag incorrectly directs users to the browse ideas page without applying the selected expertise filter (affecting some client systems).
  • Updated action items view to display completed items by default when all open items are completed, ensuring an empty list is shown for open items instead of completed ones (affecting some client systems).

Project Room

  • Added a "Copy link" option in Project Room for Files, Idea, Business impact, and External link sections, allowing users to easily direct others to the corresponding item in the Project Room.
  • Replaced the error toast with an in-line error message when the project title is empty in the Project Room settings.
  • Updated the 'Delete' option to appear in standard red text for both Project Room and Whiteboard tiles when accessed from the user home page.
  • Resolved the issue where the dropdown on the last note in the Project Room was cut off, making it inaccessible (affected some client systems).

Whiteboard

  • Updated error messaging in Whiteboard to better manage the Chromium v127 version, ensuring clear messaging until the issue is resolved.
  • Introduced notifications for users assigned to a Card within a Whiteboard, ensuring they receive both email and in-app alerts with links to the Card for easy access.
  • Updated Right-Click Menu, reintroducing 'Export to PDF' with the proper hotkey functionality.
  • Fixed a connection error that appeared briefly when refreshing the screen in Firefox (affected some client systems).
