Pairwise Voting

Users can now vote on Submissions using a Pairwise layout. Pairwise Voting allows for Submissions within an Initiative to be compared and promoted by Users.

Using Pairwise Voting

After Pairwise Voting has been enabled, the Idea Image on View Idea pages will show an icon called "Pairwise Vote".

Clicking on this button will redirect you to a new screen that allows you to vote between every Submission within the Initiative.

After all the Pairwise Voting has been completed, Users will be redirected to a confirmation page with all of their votes. After the User has clicked "Return to Idea Board", they will get redirected back to the Idea Boards page.

Users can then click on the "Votes" filter in the top-right corner of the Idea Boards page to sort the Submissions by Pairwise Votes.

Pairwise Voting Export

After Pairwise Voting has been completed by Users, an Administrator can export this data through the Submissions Export within Initiative Setup.

There will be a new column labeled "Pairwise Ranking". If Pairwise Voting is disabled, then this column will not show.

Important Notes:

  • Idea Boards 1.0 and 2.0 do not support Pairwise Vote filtering.
  • If there are less than five voteable ideas and/or less than ten idea pairings possible, then the user will be prompted with an error stating “Not enough ideas to pair."
