Brightidea's Recycle Bin

Overview

The Recycle Bin in Brightidea provides administrators with a temporary holding area for deleted items. Instead of being permanently removed immediately, certain deleted Ideas are moved to the Recycle Bin where they can be restored.

This feature helps prevent accidental data loss and allows administrators to recover items when needed.

Accessing the Recycle Bin

Administrators can access the Recycle Bin by navigating to System Setup > Ideas > Recycle Bin

The Recycle Bin will display ideas that have been recently removed from the system.

Restoring Items

If an idea was deleted by mistake, it can be restored from the Recycle Bin.

Steps to restore:

  • Navigate to System Setup > Ideas > Recycle Bin

  • Locate the idea you want to restore. You can search by keyword or sort by Date Deleted, Title, or Code

  • Select Restore.

  • Fill in the desired Step, Category, and Status

Note: Ideas deleted by removing a Pipeline or User Account cannot be restored. Only Ideas deleted by selecting "Delete Idea" from View Idea or the Pipeline can be restored.

Best Practices

To prevent unintended data loss:

  • Review items carefully before permanently deleting them.

  • Use the Recycle Bin as a safeguard when cleaning up content.

  • Restore items promptly if they were removed unintentionally.
