Hackathon 6 FAQ Page


Overview

FAQ provides self-service guidance for participants, judges, and organizers using the Brightidea Hackathon 6 platform. It covers how the event works, how to use the platform, and where to get help. These answers are informational only and do not affect system logic, workflows, or permissions.

Note: This article covers Hackathon 6 (Spring 2026 release). If you are on an earlier version, see the Hackathon FAQ Page article for previous versions.

FAQ

The FAQ page is accessible to participants from the Explore navigation on the Hackathon Event Site. It displays as an accordion widget — questions are listed in a collapsed state and expand when selected to reveal the answer.

Editing the FAQ

Administrators can edit the FAQ content directly from the Hackathon Event Site. To edit the FAQ:

  • As an administrator for a Hackathon Event Site, switch to Participant navigation and select FAQs in the Explore section
  • Select widget edit mode for page from the gear menu in the bottom-left corner
  • Select the pencil (edit) icon in the top-right corner of the FAQ widget 
  • In widget edit mode, you can:
    • Add instructional text for the overall widget
    • Add, remove, and rearrange questions within the widget
    • Customize question and answer text
Widget Editor and Page Layout

Administrators can also configure the layout of the FAQ page using the Widget Editor. To access it, enable the Widget Editor toggle at the top of the page when in edit mode.


 

From the Widget Editor, you can:

  • Select a Page Layout: One Column, Two Column, or Three Column.
  • Use Choose Widget to add additional widgets to the FAQ page, or select + to add a new widget block.

Note: The FAQ does not support version history or backups — changes are saved immediately and cannot be undone. We recommend drafting and reviewing FAQ content externally before making edits on the live page.
