Pipeline Steps View V2

The Pipeline Steps View has been rebuilt to further enhance your Pipeline Management experience. The board itself works the same way as the original V1 Pipeline Steps View (stages, steps, and ideas in their current step), but the tools for finding ideas on the board have changed. This article covers what is different in the new view: search, filters, and sorting.

What's Different:

Area Legacy Steps View New React Steps View
Search Basic per-page search A single search bar above the board with a live result count that updates as you type
Filters Per-column filter icons A dedicated filter panel (toggle) with grouped, checkbox facets and a Clear button
Sort Separate ascending and descending options in a list One sort menu; re-select a sort to flip its direction, shown by an arrow indicator. Sort choices are shared with Idea Boards

Search

The React view has a single Search bar centered above the board. As you type, the board filters in real time and the number next to the bar shows how many ideas currently match (for example, "29"). Clearing the search returns the full board.

This replaces the older search behavior: instead of searching within a column or list, you now search the whole board from one place, with an immediate matching count.

Filters

Click the filter (funnel) icon on the toolbar to open the filter panel. It slides in as a left rail of grouped, collapsible facets. Check any combination of options to narrow the board; the facets combine, so you can filter by several at once. Use Clear at the top of the panel to reset everything.

The available filter groups are:

  • My Activities — Favorites, New To Me, Subscriptions, Ideas, Votes
  • Status — the initiative's idea statuses
  • Stage — the pipeline's stages
  • Category — idea categories
  • Tags — idea tags
  • Custom submission-form questions — any list-type questions configured on the submission form appear as their own filter groups

This replaces the legacy per-column filter icons with one consistent, faceted panel.

Sorting

Open the sort menu on the right of the toolbar (it shows the current sort, for example "Activity" or "Random"). Selecting an option sorts the board by that value. The common options are:

  • Activity (the default)
  • Votes
  • Step Result
  • Newest (and Oldest)
  • Random
  • Title

Some options appear only when they apply to the pipeline, such as Recently Viewed, Updates, or Applicants, depending on the step and tool types in use.

The key change is direction: instead of separate ascending and descending entries, you re-select the current sort to flip between ascending and descending, and an arrow indicator next to the sort name shows the current direction. These sort options are shared with Idea Boards, so the behavior is consistent across the two views.
