Brightidea System-level Statuses allow Admins to easily track and maintain all Ideas across all Initiatives. As Ideas move through the Innovation Pipeline, some are stopped, some are paused, while some remain active and continue progressing.

Getting Started -
System Admins can manage System-level Idea statuses under System Setup > Ideas > Statuses.
Adding a New Status
At the bottom of the Status page, the Add Status button will populate a new row that allows Admins to enter the Status Name, Description and System Status mapping.
Status fields include:
- Status Name- The name displayed in the System/Pipeline interface when users view or change the Idea status
- Status Description- An optional field to define the status description displayed at various locations through the UI.

System Status Mapping- Admins can choose the appropriate option to map each Status:
- Active- Active and moving through the Pipeline.
- Paused- Not yet decided upon.
- Complete- Finished moving through the Pipeline.
- Stopped- Stopped and no longer being considered.
- Handoff- Handed off for implementation after moving through the Pipeline.
- Status Color- Admins can assign a color to the Status that will be seen in the Pipeline Step view.
Deleting a Status
To delete a status, select the red "X" next to the appropriate status row.

Note: Brightidea will automatically check if any existing Ideas are assigned to the Status before deletion and if applicable, will require the Administrator to migrate any Ideas to another Status.
- Select the new Status for those Ideas and select "Delete Status" to proceed.
Modify Existing Status
To modify an existing Status, simply edit the text in the Status Name and Description fields or select a new System Status mapping from the drop-down menu:
Idea Status Change Email Templates
Admins must configure an email template for Status changes on the System level.
- Admins can configure a dedicated Idea Status Change email template for Subscribers and another for the Submitter.
