Understand (Collect Insights)


Want new insights into your customers’ behavior? Our Understand app sets up a large-scale design research project for employees to investigate and analyze customer needs.

Read below to learn more about this process and how to progress through the pipeline.

Getting Started

  • To get started, navigate to Products > Labs and select the Understand app.

  • Select Set Up Understand Forum

  • Follow the steps and fill in the required information to complete the Wizard.

Site Home Page

  • Once you create your new Understand forum, you will be brought to your Understand site home page.
  • Here, you can update site hero imagechange your submission form, and more!

    • Review this list of user roles that are recommended for the Understand app here.

Pipeline Steps View

 

  • After successfully creating your Understand forum, you will see that it comes with preconfigured stages and steps.  
  • To navigate there, select Admin --> Manage Pipeline
  • For a quick recap on the overall Understand forum, refer to this process overview here.
  • The Understand backend pipeline configuration consists of the following:
    • Research Submission
      • Screening
    • Results
      • Selected As Relevant
      • Not Selected as Relevant

Research Submission

  • Screening
    • Once a participant submits a research note, it will be put into the "Research Selection - Single Scale" 
    • This step is preconfigured as a "Single Scale" tool type
    • Research Team Members will receive an action item and be able to evaluate the research notes.

 

Results

  • Selected as Relevant
    • The "Selected as Relevant" step is for research notes that have been selected for further analysis.
    • There is no configured tool type for this step
    • Administrators can configure a tool type for this step if additional actions are needed
  • Not Selected as Relevant
    • The "Not Selected as Relevant" step is for research notes that have not been selected for further analysis.
    • There is no configured tool type for this step
    • Administrators can configure a tool type for this step if additional actions are needed
