Getting Started
- To get started, Navigate to the Products screen and select the Incubate app.
- Select Set Up Incubate Process
- Follow the steps and fill out the required information to complete the wizard.
Site Home Page
- Once you create your new Incubate process, you will be brought to your Incubate site home page.
- Here, you can update the site hero image, change your submission form, and more!
Pipeline Steps View
- After successfully creating your Incubate App you will see that it comes with preconfigured stages and steps.
- To navigate there, select Admin > Manage Pipeline

- The Incubate app comes with the following out of the box preconfigured stages and steps:
- Discovery
- Project Submission
- Research
- Research Development
- Prototype
- Prototype Development
- Pilot
- Pilot Execution
- Iterate
- Pilot Iteration
- Package
- Launch Project
- Archive
- Archived Projects
Discovery
- Project Submission
- Once project team members drop projects into the incubation pipeline, it will be put into the "Project Submission" step first.
- There is no associated tool type configured for this step
- Incubate Pipeline Manager(s) can configure any tool type for this step if evaluation is needed before projects progress to the "Research" stage.
Research
- Research Development
- The only step in the "Research" stage is the "Research Development" step
- This step comes pre-configured as a "Development" tool type
- Project Team Members will receive a "Development" action items after projects are moved from "Project Submission"
- Project Team Members will have the opportunity to rate them, based on the questions configured for the "Development" tool type.
Prototype
- Prototype Development
- The only step in the "Prototype" stage is the "Prototype Development" step
- After the "Research Development" step, Incubate Pipeline Manager(s) can chose which projects to advance to the "Prototype Development" step.
- This step also comes pre-configured as a "Development" tool type
- After a project is moved into the "Research Development" step, the configured project team members will receive a "Development" action item
Pilot
- Pilot Execution
- The only step in the "Pilot" stage is the "Pilot Execution" step
- After the "Prototype Development" step administrators can chose which projects to advance to the "Pilot Execution" step
- This step also comes pre-configured as a "Development" tool type
- After a project is moved into the "Pilot Execution" step the configured project team members will receive a "Development" action item
Iterate
- Project Iteration
- The only step in the "Iterate" stage is the "Project Iteration" step
- After the "Pilot Execution" step Incubate Pipeline Manager(s) can chose which projects to advance to the "Project Iteration" step.
- This step also comes pre-configured as a "Development" tool type
- After a project is moved into the "Project Iteration" step the configured project team members will receive a "Development" action item
Package
- Launch Preparation
- After "Project Iteration", projects are moved into the "Launch Preparation" step
- There is no associated tool type configured for this step.
- Incubate Pipeline Manager(s) can configure any tool type for this step if evaluation is needed before projects progress to either the "Launch" or "Archive" stages.
Launch
- Launch Projects
- After "Launch Preparation", projects that are launched, are moved into the "Launch Projects" step
- There is no associated tool type configured for this step.
Archive
- Archive Projects
- After "Launch Preparation", projects that are not moving forward - are moved into the "Launch Projects" step
- There is no associated tool type configured for this step.
