Is your Innovation team ready to apply new technologies into your company? With our Apply App, you can collect, evaluate and identify new applications to implement into your business. Read below to learn more about this process and how to progress through the pipeline.

Getting Started

• To get started, navigate to the Products screen\ and select the Apply app:

 
If you are using Brightidea Innovation Cloud 1.0, your Apps page may look like the below:

 

• Select Set Up a Apply Challenge

• Follow the steps and fill out the required information to complete the wizard.

Site Home Page

• Once you create your new Apply event, you will be brought to your Apply site home page.
• Here, you can update the site hero image, change your submission form, and more!

Pipeline Steps View

• After successfully creating your Apply app, you will see that it comes with preconfigured stages and steps.  
• To navigate there, select Admin Tools > Manage Pipeline

The Apply backend workflow consists of the following:

Rate Ideas

• Announce Challenge
  • Understand the product opportunities your company is looking to pursue. 
  • Allow access to all Users that will take part in this Initiative.
• Collect Ideas
  • Any Apply ideas that are submitted will be entered into this Step.
    
    • Idea collection phase should not last more than a few weeks.
• Single Scale Evaluation
• Any Apply ideas that are submitted or imported, will show up in this initial step. 
  
  • This step comes pre-configured as a "Single Scale" tool type
• The assigned evaluators will receive an action item and be able to review the opportunity.

 

Evaluate Ideas

• Collect Deeper Evaluation
  • Apply Team will collect deeper evaluation on all highly ranked ideas.
• Scorecard Evaluation
• Evaluators are assigned a ‘Scorecard’ action item to ensure the Apply Team meets all prerequisites to proceed. 
•  

Prioritize Ideas

• Stack Rank Evaluation
  • A 'Stack Rank' action item is then assigned to Evaluators. Each evaluator prioritizes based on financial impact and implementation. 
• Progress Highly Rated Ideas
• The Apply Manager then moves forward with the remaining qualified ideas. 

Implement Project

• Pursue Project
• The implementation process begins for qualified ideas.

Track Business Impact

• Record Results
  
  • Applys in this step, are being tracked for their business impact (projected and actual).
