Consult (Manage a Consulting Team)

Getting Started

  • To get started, navigate to Products > Transformation and select the Consult app.

  • Select Set Up a Consult Process

  • Follow the steps and fill in the required information to complete the Wizard.

Site Home Page

  • Once you create your new Consult Initiative, you will be brought to your Consult site home page.
  • Here, you can update the site hero imagechange your submission form, and more!

Pipeline Steps View

  • After successfully creating your Consult app, you will see that it comes with preconfigured stages and steps.  
  • To navigate there, select Admin > Manage Pipeline
    • For a quick recap on the overall Consult process, refer to this process overview here.
  • The Consult backend pipeline configuration consists of the following:
    • Screening
      • Screen Projects
    • Cost Benefit Analysis
      • Develop Business Case
      • Evaluate Project Opportunity
    • Project Engagement
      • Scope and Prepare Projects
      • Work on Engagement
      • Drive Adoption
    • Impact Measurement
      • Track Business Impact

Screening

  • Screen Projects
    • As projects get submitted, they will be placed in this first step. 
    • Single Scale action items will be triggered automatically to have Subject Matter Experts quickly screen projects.

Cost Benefit Analysis

  • Develop Business Case
    • After Projects are screened they can be moved into the "Develop Business Case" step
      • Projects advanced to this step will trigger an action item back to the Project Submitter, so he/she can add further details to develop their business case. 
      • This step is preconfigured as a "Development" tool type 
    • Development owner/team members can further build out the business case for the submitted Project using this step 
  • Evaluate Project Opportunity
    • After development is completed, Project proceed into the "Evaluate Project Opportunity" step.
      • Projects in this step will undergo a cost benefit analysis by chosen Subject Matter Experts. 
      • This step is preconfigured as a "Scorecard" tool type 
    • The Scorecard assignees will have the opportunity score the opportunity of the Projects that have been added to this step using a scorecard template
      • Once evaluations are completed, they can be advanced to the next step. 

Project Engagement

  • Scope and Prepare Projects
    • Once the "Cost Benefit Analysis" stage is completed, the selected projects are moved into this step. 
    • Projects in this step are being scoped, and the Internal Consulting Team Member will prepare to kick off. 
      • There is no tool type pre-configured to this step
    • Consult Administrators/Moderators have the option to configure an additional tool type if they wish to add further evaluations to the Consult pipeline.
  • Work on Engagement
    • After Projects are scoped and prepared, they can be moved into the "Work on Engagement" step. 
      • Projects in this step are continued to be worked on in their private ‘Team Workspaces’. Once the project is complete, it can be moved to the next step. 
  • Drive Adoption
    • The last step of this stage is to drive project adoption, selected projects are moved into the "Drive Adoption" step. 
      • Internal Consulting Team Members work in partnership with the Submitter to drive internal adoption for the completed project (e.g. internal training, new materials, etc.) 
      • There is no tool type pre-configured to this step
    • Consult Administrators/Moderators have the option to configure an additional tool type if they wish to add further evaluations to the Consult pipeline.

Impact Measurement

  • Track Business Impact
    • The last part of the consult pipeline is to record and track the business impact of the projects.
